DIY Mask for Kids

Here is some fun activity to do with your kids.
One fine day, we were going around some place, when kiddo asked for face mask from a small street shop. Looking at them I got an idea to try it at home.

I took some simple images of animal faces from google and created these cute little masks...

Steps:
1. Hand draw the pattern on a sheet of card stock/drawing sheet.
2. Cut out the holes for eyes (for looking) and wing design of butterfly.
3. Stick some other color papers, glitters, rhinestones to add the zing.
4. Create butterfly's antenna/cat's moustaches by pipe cleaners.
5. punch two holes at either sides, tie a ribbon or elastic to fasten the mask.

Note: I used drawing sheets, for more robust masks felt sheets can be used.

Having already tried paper bags, this was the definitely immediate thing to try.

Photoframe with flowers, hearts and lots of LOVE..!!

Hello Friends,

For the very first time I have created a photo frame...yes a complete photo frame right from scratch.
This is a completely recycled project. I have used old desktop calender base, red and golden handmade paper (from some old wedding card) and lots of creativity.

So here is the final outcome. I was quiet satisfied with the result....!!
Initially I tried quilled flowers, spiral roses..but nothing looked better than these fringed flowers along with golden spirals...!!
Intricate golden design is all hand cut.

A closer looks..

With flowers and hearts, the theme of this photo frame is "Love", and keeping this in mind I have placed this picture of my wedding...which was indeed a very beautiful new beginning of my new role(s)..!!

Birthday card

This is simple card, I created for my mom's birthday.
All flowers and leaves are handcut.
A white CS has been used as base.
A ribbon border is used and most amazing part is the effect on border.
Can you make out how I created that..??

Well it was a long forgotten childhood activity,
I simply put the CS on a comb and rubbed my son's crayon to get the effect of that impression. Interesting na..!!

Set of Paper bag and A Tag !!

I have given new look to a paper bag by adding spiral roses.

I have created a tag in co-ordination with the bag. Background of tag has been prepared using poster colors (wash technique),
Spiral roses have been made using cream colored card stock, A touch f red color and glitter did all the wonder.

I have also tried comb quilling  for creating leaves, I feel it needs more practice..!!
Take a look and give your valuable feedback..

My little one's creations

This is the first creation that came home after a month of my little one's joining school.
This was for the grandparents, wishing them A very Happy Grandparents Day..!!!
I ususally leave no stones unturned in capturing the memories associated with my little angel, so I asked DH to take a photograph of the lovely Paper flower and here it is....

I found this the cutest flower I have ever seen....!!!

PS: I know most of this is done by his teacher, as he is too young to even fold a paper correctly. But still this is his first one..!!! :-)

old newspaper's basket

I got an inspiration to create this basket from internet. step be step tutorial is available here

Take a look at my creation. I added a red satin ribbon at top, I feel it goes well with newspaper.
Some more finishing is needed, though not bad as first attempt...!!!
